Go See a Show on a Cool Wilmington Night (Or Day)
The Addams Family, produced by Thalian Association Community Theatre won the Wilmington Theatre Awards Best Ensemble in 2016.
When it’s cold outside, try some comedy at Dead Crow Comedy Room. Take a pottery, pilates, or dance class, or see a live show at Hannah Block Historic USO.Or catch a play, musical performance, or Cinematique flick at Thalian Hall.

Wilmington Attractions Are Warm When It’s Cooler
Sharks are endlessly fascinating for visitors to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
Be a tourist in your hometown while the summer crowds are gone! Learn about North Carolina fish at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Enjoy regional and national art or take a class at ArtExposure! in Hampstead or the Cameron Art Museum.
Most of the sights at Battleship North Carolina are inside the ship, a great place for kids to stretch their legs and learn about history. In downtown Wilmington, get a little thrill at the Cape Fear Serpentarium, or climb on a caboose at the Wilmington Railroad Museum.

When the weather cools, there is still a lot of indoor entertainment.
Come inside and warm up while you shop (or just window-shop) at some of Wilmington’s interesting stores. Downtown, wander through a variety of shops at the historic Cotton Exchange. Blue Moon Gift Shops is a collection of booths with wonderful, local handmade items.
You’ll find something unique at Ivy Cottage, or at the upscale shops at Lumina Station. And you can always spend a winter day curled up with a good book from Island Book Shop in Carolina Beach or Two Sisters Bookery at The Cotton Exchange.
